The Affirmative Won a Very Interest
ing Debate Saturday Evening
The Mount Joy High School Liter-
ary Society held a very interesting
meeting in Mt. Joy Hall Saturday
evening. The attendance was the
largest in the history of the society.
Every seat in the spacious hall wag
occupied and many were obliged to
stand. So great was the demand for
admission that Prof. Kraybill was
obliged to close the doors shortly
after eight o'clock. There were
about four hundred people in the
hall.
The question for debate was re-
solved, That, Lee was a Greater Gen-
eral than Grant. The affirmative
speakers were Mr. Whitman Deacon
Frank Schock at $128.00 per share.
