the son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Barrett, Mount Joy,
will be one of five babies to
play the part of infant Jesus
in the Wesley United
Methodist Church of Stras-
burg Christmas pageant.
The sixty minute program
will be presented in the
sanctuary of the church,
located on Main Street,
Strasburg, this Thursday,
Friday and Saturday at 7:30
pm, and Sunday at 4:30 and
7:30 pm.

Steve Meszaros
Steve Meszaros, a fresh-
man at Bloomsburg State
College, was selected as a
running back to the second
team of the Easter Division
Pennsylvania Conference
All-Star football team. Steve
is a 1980 graduate of
Donegal High School. :

Vineyards

There were only 1,000
gallons of the 1979 Gold
Medal wine bottled, but
4,000 gallons will be made
from the 1980 crop.
Nissley Vineyards had
several other wines win
awards.
Three wines won silver
medals. They were: Bain-
bridge White ’79; Aurora
(sweet) ’79; and Susque-
hanna White '79.
Bronze medal winners
were: Bainbridge White '78;
Keystone Kiss ’79; Colon-
nade ’'79; Susquehanna
White ’79; Classic White
"79; Bainbridge White ’79;
and Chelois ’79.
Bronze medal winners
Keystone Kiss ’'79 and
Classic White 79 were also
judged ‘‘best of class.”
Eleven students qualify
for special SAT tests
The W.I. Beahm Junior
High School of the Donegal
District has announced that
there are eleven students in
the seventh grade eligible
for taking the Scholastic
Aptitude Tests (SATs) in
January, 1981, as part of
John Hopkins University
Talent Search, open only to
seventh graders.
There are five boys and
six ‘girls who qualify as a
result of having scored at
the 97 percentile or above in
Math, or Language Arts, or
Composite scores on stan-
dardized tests taken within
the past two school years
(grades five and six).
Information and registra-
tion forms have been sent to
the parents of these stu-
dents, and it is a matter of
choice as to whether or not
their youngster will take
part in this challenging
event. All costs are met by
the parents. The Office of
Talent Identification and
Mount Joy
library lists
holiday hours
The Mount Joy Library
Center has announced a
change of schedule during
the upcoming holiday
season.
During the week of
Christmas, the Library Cen-
ter will be closed December
24, 2S and 26.
Also, the Library Center
will close for the New Year
holiday December 31, Janu-
ary 1 and 2.
The normal schedule of
operation, Monday through
Friday from 3 to 9 pm, will
resume on Monday, January
S, 1981.

sors this activity. Mr.
William C. George is the
director of OTID.
One of the main purposes
of this program is to afford
an opportunity to compare
the students’ particular
reasoning abilities to those
of the ablest seventh grades
in the Talent Search Region
which encompasses Dela-
ware, the District of Colum-
bia, Maryland, New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, and
West Virginia.
