Riverview sells cookies for school activities The group Students and Teachers Accepting Re- sponsibility Together (START) of Riverview School in Marietta have organized a cookie sale. The sale is intended to raise money in order to sponsor more student activities. The group held a “‘kick- off” assembly on Friday, November 21, where stu- dents were told of prizes to be earned in the sale. A bicycle will be offered as a prize to the highest salesperson in the school. The class which sells the most cookies will receive a pizza party, and the highest salesperson in each class will get a stuffed animal. In addition, each student will be awarded a coupon for each box of cookies sold. These coupons will be placed in a ‘‘cookie box’ from which winning coupons will be drawn. Prizes include a basketball, foot- ball, tape recorder, calculat- or, soccer ball and stuffed animals. The cookies will arrive at the school the week of December 15, and people will pay for their orders when they are delivered. When selling cookies, students will give each person contacted a tag to place on their front door. This tag will tell other students that you have already been contacted about the sale. Students at Riverview demonstrate proper actions and behaviors when selling cookies.
