Bible Study Zion Lutheran Church congregational dinner Members of Zion Luth- eran Church, Marietta, held their annual congregational dinner in the Fellowship Hall last Thursday night. The Rev. Philip Lynch presided at the business session where the proposed budget of $58,389 was adopted. New council members elected at the meeting were A community Thanksgiv- ing Day service will be held at Donegal Presbyterian Church at 9 am Thursday, St. John’s Lutheran Ch. site of day-long bazaar St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Queen St., Maytown, will be the site of a day-long bazaar on Saturday, November 29. The event, sponsored by the church’s youth group, will be held from 9 am until § pm. Featured will be a flea market sales area, baked good sales, hand made craft items, and food sales for - hungry visitors. All items will be donated by members of the congregation. The areas of the church used for the sales will be decorated in a central theme of an English Tudor village. The proceeds from the bazaar will be used for the World Hunger Appeal and to help defer the youth group’s expenses for the year. David Boyd, Richard Vogt, James Reider and William Rudy. Rev. Lynch presented the year’s report, remarking that the major projects were the installation of the new pipe organ and the 125th anniversary observation. A film entitled ‘‘Church Ministry’’ was also shown at the meeting. Thanksgiving Day service at Donegal Presbyterian November 27. The minister, the Rev. Victor Baer, will present a meditation, ‘‘Thanksgiving —a Call to Prayer.”’ He will be assisted in the service by the Rev. Herbert E. Moyer, pastor emeritus. The program will include “Sing to the Lord of Harvest,’’ by Willan, by the senior choir; a solo, ‘How Great Thou Art,” by Dr. Robert E. Humphreville; an offertory duet, Mendel- sohn’s ‘‘How Beautiful upon the Mountains,’ by Dr. and Mrs. Humphreville; and the reading of President Car- ter’'s Thanksgiving Day proclamation. Dr. Carl W. Shull, professor of music and organ at Elizabethtown College, will be organist. Greeters will be the Lester Billet family.
