November 26, 1980 Mount Joy Com. Chorus will perform Nov. 26th The Mount Joy Com- munity Chorus will sing at the Mount Joy Community Thanksgiving Eve service to be held at the Mennonite Church, Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, on Wednesday, November 26, at 7:30 pm. The service is sponsored by the Inter- church Council of Mount Joy. The chorus, under the direction of Miss Dorothy E. Schock, will sing ‘‘Thanks Be to Thee” by G.F. Handel and ‘‘Now Thank We All Our God’’ from five chorales by Bach. Mrs. Carole Bubacz, Mount Joy, will act as pianist. To begin the Advent season, the chorus will present a program of Christmas music for guests at the Methodist Church Home at Cornwall on Sunday, December 7, at 3:30 pm. On Tuesday, December 9, the chorus will travel to Washington Boro Fire Hall to entertain the church women of the First United Methodist Church, Colum- bia, at their Christmas program. The annual ‘‘Songs of Christmas’ concert given by the chorus will be presented on Sunday, De- cember 14, at 3 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Main Street, Mount Joy. On Tuesday, December 23, the chorus will present an informal program of Christmas music at the annual Christmas party for the Armstrong Laboratory Association held at the Armstrong Research Cen- ter, Columbia Pike, Lan- caster. Girls scout mystery ml. Mount Joy Senior Girl Scout Troop #944 sponsored a mystery dinner for their sister Cadettes last Satur- day evening from 4 to 6 pm. The spaghetti dinner was held at Glossbrenner United Methodist Church. The scouts selected their food and utensils using the Italian language. Mrs. Georginna Hamer is leader of the senior girls, and Mrs. Beth Liggins leads the Cadettes.
