The Women’s Fellowship
of West Green Tree Church
of the Brethren, R.D.#2,
Mount Joy, will hold its
annual Bazaar on Friday,
November 21, from 12:00
noon until 9:00 pm. The
bazaar will be held at
Hawthorne Electric, Rt.
230, west of Mount Joy.
On sale will be homemade
Chow Chow, cakes, pies,
home canned goods, plants,
crafts and other surpises.
The women suggest that you
come early so you can have
your pick.
weekend, Friday and Satur-
day, November 14 and 15.
The fair, to be held in the
Fellowship Hall of the
church on West Main
Street, will run from 10 am
to 9 pm Friday, and 9 am to
2 pm Saturday.
The women planning the
fair hope to combine
traditional old-time attrac-
tions with many fascinating
new ideas.
Included in the fair will by
the ‘‘Kountry Kitchen,”
serving old fashioned home-
made vegetable and chicken
corn soup, beef barbeque,
baked potatoes and hot dogs
and sauerkraut. Food sales
will begin at 11 am each
day, and there will be no
bulk sales from the kitchen
until after lunch on Satur-
day.
Homemade desserts will
be available from the
““Kalorie Korner,”’ along
with cranberry relish that
can be frozen until the
holidays. A new and
delectable feature will be
““mini’’ loaves of bread.
The ‘Kandy Kupboard’’
is available to satisfy the
sweet tooth. Homemade
candies such as old fash-
ioned mashed potato candy,
creamy fudge and caramels,
pastel “and butter mints,
cereal candies and peanut
butter cups will be avail-
able. A special attraction for
the kiddies will be clear toy
lollipops in the Christmas
theme, chocolate . Santa
lollipops and a barrel of
penny candy.
For the peanut lover,
there is the ‘‘P-Knutty
Korner’ featuring crunchy
homemade peanut brittle
and roasted peanuts.
In addition to food
departments, the Lutheran
pine cone Christmas trees,
seasonal straw wreaths,
spice ropes, unusual paper
weights and an array of
Christmas tree trimmers.
“Kiln Korner” offers
unique and beautiful cera-
mics in the forms of nativity
sets, angels, animal and
children figurines, ‘‘angelic
looking’ choir boys and
plant planters.
A special feature and
added attraction to the fair
will be a china souvenir
plate of Trinity Lutheran
Church, Mount Joy, repro-
duced in green and white
with a history of the church
from the Augsburg Confes-
sion ‘“The church is the
people of God.”’
A booth brimming with
dried floral arrangements
will be found at the
‘Kountry Splendor’’ area of
the fair, highlighting wire
whips in cinnamon sticks
and dried flowers, various
sized ‘‘chimney sweep’’ and
‘“‘whisk’> broom arrange-
ments for the door or
fireside, unusual driftwood
combinations and Williams-
burg under glass.
The ‘Kountry Herbs and
Spices’’ booth will show off
herb mayonnaise, spice
trees, parsley and sachet
bags and delicious herb
cheese balls (another special
feature of the Kountry Fair).
“Kiddies Korner’ will
contain $1.00 and under
items for children to buy.
Included will be happy
clowns, baby octipi, + felt
mice party favors, magnetic
owls, ‘‘frustration’’ pencils,
book worms, and many
other items.
The ‘‘Kneedle Korner”
will offer gift suggestions
for the homemaker by
