Andrea Lynn Landis to
William James Gainer took
place Saturday, November
8, at 6 pm at the St. Mark’s
United Methodist Church,
Mount Joy, with the Rev.
Roger O. Colvin officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley R.
Landis, 119 David St.,
Mount Joy. She is a
graduate of Donegal High
School and is employed by
Lancaster Area Sewer Au-
thority as a secretary.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
V. Gainer, Mount Joy RDI.
He graduated from Donegal
High School and Mount Joy
Vo-Tech School and is
employed by PP&L.
Mrs. Amy Jo Brooks,
sister of the bride, Mount
Joy, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Suzanne
Bradley, Maytown; Meri-
lynn Rupp, Linda Boyer and
Kathy Buffenmyer, all of
Mount Joy.
Serving as best man was
Larry Gainer, brother of the
groom, Mount Joy. Ushers
were: Craig Johnson, Fort

The marriage of Miss
Shirley Ann Shearer to
Herbert James Blough took
place Saturday, November
8, at 10 am at the Church of
God, Elizabethtown, with
the Rev. Glenn Smith
officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen
Shearer, Mount Joy RD3.
She graduated from Done-
gal High School and is
employed by Donegal Mu-
tual Insurance Company,
Marietta.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Blough, 57 South Poplar St.,
Elizabethtown. He grad-
uated from Elizabethtown
Area High School and
served in the U.S. Navy for
three years. He is employed
by Simons Candy, Eliza-
bethtown.
Miss Lynn Pekarek of
Mount Joy was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Kelly Shearer and
sisters of the bride Miss
Kathleen Shearer and Mrs.
Doris Ebersole, all of Mount
Joy.
Stacie Dauberman, Man-
heim, was flower girl, and
Mike Shank, Elizabethtown,
was ringbearer.
Serving as best man was
John Brotz, Middletown.
Ushers were: Melvin Shear-
er, brother of the bride,
Mount Joy; David Blough,
brother of the bridegroom,
Elizabethtown; and Norman
Ebersole, Mount Joy.
The couple will live in
Mount Joy.
Obituaries
SCOTT M. KAYLOR
Scott M. Kaylor, the 12-
year-old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Steven M. Kaylor, 17
Frank St., Mount Joy, died
last Wednesday evening
after apparently getting
tangled in his clothing and
accidentally suffocating.
The death was called
accidental by Dr. Whitlaw
M. Show, Lancaster County
coroner, who investigated
the accident with Mount Joy
Borough police.
Scott was in his room
when he became caught in
some clothing. A belt was
found tightly wrapped
around his neck and ap-
peared to be the reason his
oxygen supply was cut off,
said police.
Scott was born in Lan-
caster, the son of Steven M.
and Arlene R. Armold
Kaylor.
He was in the sixth grade
at Seiler Elementary School,
Mount Joy, and attended
Sunday School at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Mount
Joy.
In addition to his parents,
he is survived by a brother,
Shawn M., at home; his
paternal grandmother,
Grace L. Kaylor, Mount Joy;
maternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. David Armold,
Maytown; and a maternal
great-grandmother, Ger-
trude Armold, Marietta.

plans cookie bake
The Ladies Auxiliary of
the Mount Joy Fire Co. No.
1 will be baking cookies at
the firehouse on December
13.

Mrs. Diane Leonard

Diane Leonard, R.D.#1,
Marietta, is now associated
with the Marietta branch of
Central Savings and Loan
Association.
Diane and her husband,
Jim, have two daughters,
Heather, age 10, and
Gretchen, age 14. Jim is
employed by Common-
wealth National Bank. ‘‘You
could say we are a real
banking family,”” laughs
Diane.
Diane likes to sew and
make crafts, and she also
enjoys buying antiques for
her home.
The Leonard home was
featured on the Bainbridge-
Maytown Candlelight Tour
this year.
