November 5, 1980 Youngsters take a peek at the puppet show which will run Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 pm in conjuction with the Assumption B.V.M. Christmas Bazaar. Assumption BVM plans bazaar The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Union School Road, Mount Joy, will be the scene of a Christmas Bazaar Friday and Saturday, No- vember 7 and 8. Mrs. Gerald Sheetz and Mrs. Roger Suhas are serving as co-chairpersons. The hours for the bazaar are: Friday, 10 am to 8 pm, with lunch served from 11 am to 2 pm, and dinner from 4 to 8 pm; and Saturday, 8 am to 3 pm, with breakfast from 8 to 10 am, and lunch 11 am to 2 pm. Friday’s lunch will in- clude homemade vegetable soup and bar-b-que sand- wiches, and dinner will include meatloaf, baked potato, vegetable, cole slaw, applesauce and roll and beverage. Saturday’s breakfast will be made up of potatoes, ham and eggs, roll and coffee. Mrs. Paul Duval will chair the plant table, which will include all kinds of house- plants, dried arrangements, hanging baskets, macrame ropes and artistic access- ories. Mrs. Helen Bossini will head the needlework and hand craft committee, with sale items such as toys, log holders, aprons, macrama, pajama bags and frilly items. The Christmas Decora- tions will be overseen by Mrs. Harold Zimmerman. Wreaths, door decorations, tree ornaments and toys will be offered for purchase. Mrs. Leo Frank and Mrs. George Blasic are co- chairpersons of the ‘‘White Reindeer’’ assortment made up of nic-nacs and ‘‘odds 'n’ ends.”’ Mrs. Albert Williams will greet customers at the pantry shelf with pies, cakes, candies, pickles, relishes, breads, beets and various other goodies. Mr. and Mrs. John Frey will provide entertainment for the small ‘Frey’ (children) with a fish pond and rock concerts. The youth group will present a puppet show in the Narthex on Saturday at 1 pm. Members of the Parish Council of Catholic Women, with Mrs. Ralph Dishart serving as president, have been working all year on handmade items for the sale. Proceeds from the benefit will be used to furnish the kitchen with dinnerware, glassware and cuttlery.
