The marriage of Miss
Kimberly Ann Heisey to:
Jeffrey Lynn Carl, 32 Glen-
brook Drive, Spring Grove,
took place Saturday, Octo-
ber 25, at 4 pm at the
Church of the Brethren,
Elizabethtown with the
Rev. Richard F. Michael
officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Earl D.
Heisey, R.D.#2, Mount Joy.
She graduated from Done-
gal High School in 1979.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Alton D.
Carl, 101 Meade Avenue,
Hanover. He is a 1974
graduate of Hanover High
School and a 1978 graduate
of Elizabethtown College.
He is employed by Carlton
Seed Company.
The bride, given in
marriage by her father,
wore a bridal gown of
organza over taffeta, featur-
ing a high neckline and
sheer yoke. The bodice was
trimmed in Alencon lz. > and
pearl clusters. The Bishop
sleeves were also in Alencon
lace. The A-line skirt had a
deep double flounce at the
hemline and flowed into a
semi-cathedral length train.
A bridal picture hat was
made of matching lace. The
bride carried a cascading
bouquet of silk gardenias,
white roses, lily-of-the-
valley and baby’s breath.
Mrs. Sandra Groff, sister
of the bride, Mount Joy, was
matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Mrs.
Barbara Gault, sister of the
groom, Spring Grove; Miss
Julie Shirk, Mount Joy.
Junior bridesmaids were:
Miss Susan Gault, niece of
the groom, Spring Grove;
and Miss Michelle Groff,
niece of the bride, Mt. Joy.
Miss Tracee Groff, niece
of the bride, Mount Joy, was

flower girl. Michael Gault.
nephew of the greom,
Spring Grove, was ring
bearer.
Serving as best man was
Michael Wiest, Hummels-
town.
Ushers were: David Heis-
ey, brother of the bride,
Mount Joy; Gary Gault,
brother-in-law of the greom;
and Charles Groff, brother-
in-law of the bride, Mount
Joy.
David Myers was ongan-
ist.
Following a reception at
Indian Springs, the couple
took a wedding trip to
Hawaii.
They will reside at 32
Glenbrook Drive, Spring
Grove.
Marietta
Lions Club
Charles Hershey, mem-
bership chairman of the
Mount Joy Lions Club,
served as induction officer
for the Marietta Lions Club
at its Thursday night dinner
session at the Colonial Inn.
New members installed
were The Rev. Philip Lynch
and Michael DeLucia.
Marietta president Edgar
Appley conducted the bus-
iness session of the meeting
and activities for the
upcoming year were dis-
cussed.
The club will arrange for
a sale of brooms to take
place this week. Proceeds
from the sale will benefit the
blind association.
The club also donated
money to its sponsored Girl
Scout Troop in Maytown.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene S.

of their daughter, Miss
Patricia Jean Brown, to
John Paul Kalbach, 820
Rolridge Ave., Lancaster.
The bride-elect graduated
from Donegal High School
and Indiana University of
Pennsylvania with a B.S.
degree in business ad-
ministration. She is em-
ployed by Totes, Inc., as
inventory control coordin-
ator.
Mr. Kalbach is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl L.
Kalbach, Leesport. He grad-
uated from Schuylkill Valley
High School and Reading
Area Community College
with an associate degree in
industrial management. He
attends York College of
Pennsylvania. He served in
the U.S. Naval Reserve for
nine years and is employed
by Thonet Industries, York,
as a product development
engineer.
Chigues Volleyball
opens its tenth season
On Sunday, October 19th
the Chiques Co-Ed Volley-
ball League opened its 10th
season with two matches at
the Marietta Community
Gym.
There were changes made
in the league this season.
The most important one is
the league will be going
back to playing four person
volleyball. The league has
played this type of volleyball
several times in the past. It
is a fast paced and exciting

were: The Smashers de-
feated the Trojans two out of
three games; 15-7, 15-4 and
12-15. The second match
was the same, as the Spikers
defeated the Raiders, 14-16,
15-12 and 15-9.
