Hollis Baker
will present
senior recital
Miss Hollis Dee Baker,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Baker, Fairview Ave-
nue, Marietta, will present a
senior recital Sunday, Octo-
ber 12, at 3 pm in Rider
Hall, Elizabethtown Col-
lege.
A student of Professor
Otis Kitchen, Miss Baker is
presently student teaching
at Manheim Central High
School. The Donegal grad-
uate participated in band,
stage band, rhythm singers,
county, district and regional
bands for three years, and
county chorus. She was vice
president of the senior high
band.
Her college letters include
concert band, jazz band,
concert choir and chorale.
She is also a member of the
Elizabethtown chapter of
the Music Educators Na-
tional Conference.
Included in the Sunday
repertoire are several selec-
tions to be performed on the
baritone saxophone, alto
saxophone and a saxophone
quartet. Accompanying
Miss Baker on the piano will
be Allen Artz, a senior
music education major from
Llewelyn, PA.
Janet Villano, a music
therapy major, will assist in
the performing duet. A
special quartet will feature
Donegal senior Ann Eich-
erly and two Donegal
graduates, Kenneth McCoy
and Lauralee Baker, in
addition to Holly.
The public is invited to
attend this free recital.

The marriage of Miss
Debra L. Ross to Keith R.
Beach took place Saturday,
October 4, at 11 am at St.
Mark’s United Methodist
Church, Mount Joy, with
the Rev.” Roger Covin
officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Ross, 225 Delta Street,
Mount Joy. She graduated
from Donegal High School
and Wilma Boyd Career
Schools, Pittsburgh. She is
employed by Union National
Mount Joy Bank.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mrs. Jane Beach, Mount
Joy, and Richard Beach,
Strasburg. He graduated
from Donegal High School
and Mount Joy Vo-Tech
School electrical occupations
course. He is employed by
Hawthorne Electric Co.
Miss Dawn Shireman of
Mount Joy was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were:
Mrs. Joi Garner, Mount
Joy; Tracey Ross, sister of
the bride, Mount Joy; and
Kathy Beach and Mrs. Kim
Albert, sisters of the groom,
Lancaster.
Dennis Sweigart, Eliza-
bethtown, served as best
man. Ushers were: Michael
Ross, brother of the bride,
Mount Joy; Jesse Jones,
Mount Joy; Jeff Forry,

The couple will live in
Mount Joy.

weds Harold V. Kulman
The marriage of Miss
Nancy L. Resides to Harold
V. Kulman, 282 W. Market
Street, Marietta, took place
Saturday, October 4, at noon
at St. John’s Episcopal
Church, Marietta, with the
Rev. Aristede S. Red
officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Merle
Resides, York RD11. She
graduated from Eastern
York High School, Eliza-
bethtown College with a
B.A. degree and Delaware
University with an M.A.
degree. She is employed by
W.B. Saunder Publishing
Co., Philadelphia.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mrs. Elsie Kulman, 107
W. Market Street, Marietta.
He graduated from Donegal
High School, Franklin and
Marshall College with a
B.A. degree, The University
of Louisville with an M.A.
degree, did doctoral work at
The University of Kentucky
and served an internship at
Ancora State Hospital, New
Jersey. He is self-employed
as a vocational consultant.
Mrs. Linda Wagaman was
matron of honor. Brides-

Resides, sisters of the bride.

Obituaries
RAY A. WITTLE
Ray A. Wittle, 61, of
South Jacob Street, Mount
Joy, died last week at 111
Edgemont Drive, Columbia,
the home of his sister.
Mr. Wittle was a super-
visor at Donsco, Inc., Mount
Joy, his place of employ-
ment for the last 43 years.
He served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II,
and was a member of the
Mount Joy Veterans of
Foreign Wars and American
Legion. He also belonged to
the Ironville Rod and Gun
Club.
Born in East Donegal
Township, he was the son of
the late Cyrus D. and
Elizabeth Arman Wittle. He
was the husband of the late
Anna Mae Wittle.
and is employed by Hamil-
ton Bank, East Petersburg.
Her fiance is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Hollister, Mount Joy R.D.3.
He graduated from Lan-
caster Catholic High School
and is employed with his
father at Hollister’s Garage.
Surviving are a daughter,
Sandra L., wife of Eugene
D. Grove, Mount Joy; one
granddaughter; and six
sisters: Viola Bard, Mount-
ville; Verna Birk, Columbia;
Ruth, wife of William Kaley,
Elizabethtown; Lillian
Campbell, Elizabethtown;
Nora Kauffman, Marietta
RD1; and Lorieta Ritchie,
Elizabethtown RD2.
