On Tuesday, October 7,
1980, the Guidance Counsel-
ors of Donegal High School
will administer the National
Educational Development
Tests to all 10th grade
students. This program is
especially concerned with
the students’ ability to use
what they have learned.
Results from a single
program do not, of course,
provide the sole basis for
important decisions; how-
ever, the NEDT results do
afford significant pieces of
information that are of value
in assessing educational
needs and plans. The results
will help the school
recognize the strengths
each students’ education:
development and, at the
same time, will pinpoint
weaknesses. The NEDT
program provides the school
with the type of information
it needs to help students
make realistic decisions.
Booklets describing the
test and giving sample
questions will be sent home
with students prior to taking
the tests. When the results
are received the counselors
will interpret the results to
the students and each
student will receive a copy
of his or her personal scores.
