Janet Walker will play the
role of Dolly Levi on the
stage of the State Theater in
the opening performance of
the Columbia Little Thea-
ter’s Hello, Dolly! The
musical will be presented to
the public September 26, 27,
and 30, and October 1, 2,
J,and 4 at 8 p.m. A2 p.m.
matinee is scheduled for
Sept. 28.
Janet Walker is a member
of the Lancaster Opera
Workshop and has per-
formed in their productions
of Amahl and the Night
Visitor, Little Red Riding
Hood, and in Puccini's’
triptych, The Cloak. Ms.
Walker has also appeared in
the Kiwanis’ productions of
Irene, Carousel, and Hello,
Dolly! at the Fulton Opera
House.
She has sung oratorios
and cantatas in several
states, including California,
Illinois, Wisconsin, and
Iowa. This will be her first
performance for the Colum-
bia Little Theater.
