Game Commission accepts goose blind appl.
Applications for” hunting
from goose blinds at the
Pennsylvania Game Com-
mission’s two controlled
hunting areas at Pymatun-
ing and Middle Creek will
be accepted from September
1 through September 20.
Hunters are permitted to
apply to only one of the two
areas. If a person applies to
both areas, that person will
not be eligible to hunt on
either area.
A hunter will be per-
mitted only one hunting trip
to a controlled goose area. If
a person hunts geese on one
area, that person will not be
eligible to return to that
facility as a hunter this year,

get awards
from library
Forty area children re-
cently received certificates
of achievement for success-
fully completing the sum-
mer fun reading program at
the Mount Joy Public
Library.
In order to qualify, each
participant read three fiction
and three non-fiction books
and completed a project in
the form of a book report, a
drawing, a recipe or a craft
for each selection read.
These projects are currently
on display at the Mount Joy
Public Library.
The program was spon-
sored by Pappy’s Pizza. The
sponsor also presented each
child with a coupon redeem-
able for a pizza and coke at
the local Pappy’s Restaur-
ant.

cessfully completed the

and that person will not be
eligible to hunt on the other
controlled goose shooting
area in 1980.
Drawings will be held by
the Game Commission at
Pymatuning and Middle
Creek in late September to
select blind holders for both
controlled shooting areas.
A reservation will entitle
the applicant to bring not
more than three guests. The
guests must be present to
register.
Reservation requests
must be made on official
application forms and sub-
mitted to either the Pennsyl-
vania Game Commission,
Pymatuning Waterfowl
Area, R.D.1, Harstown, PA
16131, or to the Pennsyl-
vania Game Commission,
Middle Creek Wildlife Man-
agement Area, R.D.1, New-
manstown, PA 17073.
The applicant’s 1980-81
hunting license number,
including the letter, must be
listed on the application.
Applications must be post-
marked no earlier than
September 1 but not later !
than September 20. Only
successful applicants, as
determined in the drawings,
will be notified. Reserva-
tions are not transferable.
A federal migratory bird
hunting stamp (duck stamp)
is required to hunt geese
and ducks.
Only one official applica-
tion per person may be
submitted. Provisions have
been made at both Middle
Creek and Pymatuning to
accommodate handicapped
persons if they are success-
ful applicants.
