C. EDNA BORTZFIELD
Mrs. C. Edna Bortzfield,
83, of 220 Birchland Ave.,
- Mount Joy, died at her
home this Sunday following
a three-month illness.
She was the wife of the
late Harold K. Bortzfield,
and the daughter of the late
Ulrick and Alice Markle
Schneider. Mrs. Bortzfield
was born in Trenton NJ.
She belonged to Trinity
Lutheran Church, Mount
Joy, and the Lutheran
Church Women.
Mrs. Bortzfield formerly
owned and operated the
Bortzfield Grocery Store,
Mount Joy.
She is survived by one
daughter, Marian A., wife
of James M. Forry, with
whom she resided; one
granddaughter; and two
great-grandchildren.
HOWARD K. DISHON
Howard K. Dishon, 60
Old Market St., Mount Joy,
died last week at Lancaster
General Hospital. He was
67.
He retired from Ray-
bestos Friction Materials
Co., Manheim, in 1976,
after 16 years.
He and his wife, Regina
M. Kuhn Sanders Dishon,
recently resided at the
Leader Nursing Home, Eliz-
abethtown.” He was born in
Harrisburg, the son of the
late Rufus and Sylvia Dishon
Dishon.
He belonged to the
Associate Church of God,
Harrisburg.
In addition to his wife, he
is survived by five step-
children: Raphael L. San-
cers, Hanover; Irene Martz,
New Oxford R3; Elizabeth
M. Cable, Boiling Springs
R1; Edward Sanders, West-
ninster, MD; Donald J.
Sanders, Hanover; 31 step-
grandchildren; 26 step-
great-grandchildren; one
half-brother, Edward Felty,
'" Lebanon; and a half-sister,
Pauline Dishon, Lebanon.
ERNEST J. LAMPING
Ernest J. Lamping, 64,
260 West Walnut St.,
Marietta, died unexpectedly
at the Lebanon Veterans
Administration Hospital last
week.
He was married to Ethel
Tattersley Lamping. He was
born in Hightstown, N.J.,
the son of the late George
and Margaret Lowry Lamp-
ing.
Lamping was a retired
Conestoga Transportation
Co. bus driver. He served
with the U.S. Army during
World War II and with the
U.S. Air Force between 1946
and 1952.
He was a member of the
William Brenner Post 466 of
the American Legion, Mari-
etta.
In addition to his wife, he
is survived by: a son, Ernest
M. Lamp, Pardeesville; a
daughter, Mary M., wife of
George Werner, Elizabeth-
town; a stepson, Edward M.
Miller, Lancaster; and five
' grandchildren.

HARRY F. OBER
Harry F. Ober, 84, of 125
South Market Ave., Mount
Joy, died last week at the
Heatherbank Home in Co-
lumbia after an eight month
long illness.
He was the husband of
the late Stella I. Keifer.
He was born in Union
Square, Rapho Township,
the son of the late Moses
and Elizabeth Moyer Ober.
A retired laborer for
Heistand Brothers Quarry,
Rheems, Ober belonged to
Erisman’s Mennonite
Church.
He is survived by three
sons: Samuel H. Ober,
Mount Joy; Norman D.
Ober, Manheim R2; and
Howard L. Ober, Elizabeth-
town; two daughters, Grace
E., wife of Orville Nye,
Middletown; and Mrs. Mar-
tha M. Mull, Elizabethtown
R3; eight grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchild-
ren.
