SP/4 Michael Leas Specialist Fourth Class Michael Leas recently com- pleted a three week course with the French Commands Training unit. The training took place in Breisach, West Germany, The Black Forest Region, and Colmar France. It involved French, German, British and American per- sonnel. SP/4 Leas was one of thirty selected from the 793rd Military Police Battal- ion to participate in this program. The rigorous training con- sisted of special war tactics and climaxed with a four day 300 kilometer survival march through the moun- tains of the Black Forest. Leas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Leas, Maytown. §§§ Jon Horst and Patty Meszaros, students from Donegal High School, -par- ticipated in a three-week Summer Arts Program, CreARTivity '80, from June 12 to July 2. Jon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamine H. Horst, Jr., 157 Manheim Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552. Patty’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Meszaros of 9 South Harter Street, Maytown, PA 17550. This was a Summer Arts program sponsored by the Intermediate Unit’s Pro- grams for the Gifted and Joan M. Monchak Joan M. Monohak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A Monchak, R.D.#1, Columbia, recently grad- uated from the Yale Univer- sity School of Nursing, receiving a masters of science degree in Psychi- atric-Mental Health Nurs- ing. Miss Monchak received her primary nursing educa- tion at the John’s Hopkins School of Nursing and her BS degree at the John’s Hopkins University. She is presently employed as a Clinical Specialist-Psychia- tric nurse in Baltimore, Md.
