Epler, 59, Bainbridge R.D.#1, died last week at 45 North Perry Road, Elizabethtown, ' R.D.#1, the home of a family member. His death followed a lengthy illness. A veteran of World War II, he was self-employed in the hauling and salvage business. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ethel Epler, Bainbridge R.D.#1; three - brothers, John Epler, Eliza- bethtown; Ray Epler, Sport- ing Hill; and Paul Epler, Bainbridge R.D.#1; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Shank and Mrs. Elva Shive, both of Bainbridge R.D.#1; and nieces and nephews. ETHEL M. HERR Ethel M. Herr, formerly of Marietta, died last week at the Heatherbank Nursing Center, Columbia, following a lengthy illness. She was 71. Mrs. Herr was the wife of Jacob R. Herr, also of the Heatherbank Nursing Cen- ter. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Phares and Lida Shank. She was a member of the Maytown Brethren in Christ Church. She is survived, in addition to her husband, by the following children: Paul R. Herr, Bainbridge RI; Wilmer R. Herr, Mount Joy; Norma, wife of Amos Gelsinger, Jr., Columbia; Alvin E. Herr, Mount Joy; Carol A. Herr, Marietta R.D.#1; and Richard L. Herr, Maytown. Also sur- viving are nine grandchild- ren and two great-grand- children. MOSES M. KAUFFMAN Moses M. Kauffman, 80, Bainbridge, died at the Lancaster Osteopathic Hos- pital last week after a six-month illnes. He was born in Conoy Township, the son of the late Danial B. and Charlotte Yerkes Kauffman. He had lived in Bainbridge for the last 18 years. Kauffman was a retired auto mechanic. He attended the Bain- bridge Church of God.
