Ford, professor of English and chairman of the Department of English at Lebanon Valley College, has been honored by being named Communi- cator of the Year for 1979-1980 by the Pennsyl- vania Dutchland Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication. Beahm Junior High School band members may pick up music for the next term in the office of the school from 9 am until 2 pm Monday through Friday. * Steve Meszaros Meszaros & Merchant honored by coaches The Donegal Coaches’ Association announced the recipients of their two scholarship awards during Commencement exercises at Donegal High School on June 5, 1980. The winners were Stephen Mark Meszaros and Tanya Sue Merchant. The $300.00 scholarships are awarded each year to two Donegal seniors who plan to further their education. The win- ners are chosen primarily for financial need. Steve Meszaros, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanya Merchant Meszaros of 39 West Walnut Street, Marietta, plans to attend Bloomsburg State College in the fall. He plans to major in biology and ultimately become a dentist. Tanya Merchant resides on Harold Avenue, RD#1, Mount Joy with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard Merchant. She will be studying at the University of Scranton beginning this fall. She will be a social studies major in secondary educa- tion. John Gohn was a coach of legion baseball in Marietta for many years and he was active in the M.Y.A.A. until recently. po The dedication was made prior to the first legion game held in Marietta in seven years.
