Murphy Co. 12-14 West Main Street Mount Joy, PA Mount Joy HS class of 1930 holds reunion The Mount Joy High School class of 1930 held its fiftieth reunion Saturday, May 17, at Hostetters Dining Hall, Mount Joy. It was the first reunion held by the class. Members took turns sharing events and accomplishments in their lives, and high school memorabilia was on display for all to enjoy. Twelve of the original 19 members of the class attended the reunion. Those attending were: Ruth Kaylor MJ Jaycee carnival Friday and Saturday The annual Mount Joy Jaycee’s Carnival will be held Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24. The carnival will run from 6 to 10:30 pm Friday and from the finish of the parade until 11 pm Saturday. 3rd grade questions Council Members of Mrs. Bowers’ third grade social studies class at Riverview Elemen- tary School attended the Marietta Council meeting last week. They were invited to ask questions during the public hour, and responded with a variety of queries, such as, ‘“Why do we need a council?”’ To which council presi- dent Jay Roberts replied, “You know, I've asked myself that many times.’ Other tough questions included: “When you find high or drunk people, what do you do with them?”’ “How do you become a member of council?”’ Rides, pony rides, games of skill and foods are available for all.
