-— May 14, 1980 King & Queen contest attracts 26 contestants Twenty-six contestants are entered in the annual ‘King and Queen of the Fair Contest’’ sponsored by the Marietta Recreation Association. Profits from the benefit will go towards the supervised summer play- ground activities at Marietta Memorial Park. The King and Queen will each receive a $25 Savings Account from Central Sav- ings and Loan, Marietta Branch, and a trophy. Runners-up will receive trophies and all participants will receive a gift. Mrs. Sue Clark is chair- person and Mrs. Vickie Carrol is co-chairperson of the contest. The winners will be crowned at 1 pm, June 14, at the annual Children’s Fair at Memorial Park. Photos of the contestants have been placed in partici- pating merchant’s shops where the public can cast votes at one vote per penny.
