Marine Pfc. David N.
White, son of Robert M.
White of 1096 Wood St.,
Mount Joy, has graduated
from Basic Aviation Ord-
nanceman School.
During the nine-week
course at the Naval Air
Technical Training Center,
Millington, Tenn., students
received an introduction to
aviation ordnance funda-
mentals and the weaponry
contained in Navy and
Marine Corps aircraft units.
He studied aircraft guns,
bombs and missiles plus the
procedures and safety pre-
cautions for the storage and
handling of aviation am-
munition.
A 1979 graduate of Donegal
High School, he joined the
Marine Corps in June 1979.

pany Auxiliary will hold a
pinochle card party March
21, 1980 at 8:00 pm.

Spec. 4 Michael H. Leas,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John R.
Leas, Maytown, recently
completed the Primary
Leadership Course in Ger-
many.
The course develops lead-
ership, supervisory and
managerial skillls appro-
priate to shop or office
environments for soldiers
who have been selected by
their commanders as having
potential to become, or
advance as, noncommis-
sioned officers.
It is designed to train
combat support, combat
service support and combat
arms personnel.
Leas, a military policeman
in the 615th Military Police
Company in lllesheim, en-
ter the Army in January
1978. 7
He is a 1977 graduate of
Donegal High School.

Thomas D. Smithgall, 13
South Pine Street, Marietta,
recently joined Wohlsen
Realty as a realtor associate.
Wohlson Realty opened
for business in the fall of
1979 and is located at 2901
Old Tree Drive, Lancaster.
It is a newly created real
estate division of Wohlsen
Construction Company.
Smithgall is a graduate of
Canton High School, Can-
ton, PA, and Franklin and
Marshall College with a
B.A. degree in Political
Science. He is also a
graduate of the Penn-
sylvania Realtor’s Institute.
He is a member of the
Greater Lancaster Board of
Realtors, the Pennsylvania
Association of Realtors and
the National Association. He
also belongs to the Marietta
Restoration Associates. He
is married to Barbra Bray-
Smithgall.

Hunter ed. course
The Mount Joy Sports-
men’s Association will again
be sponsoring a Hunter
Education Course on Satur-
day, April S, 1980. This one
day course will start at 12:30
pm. Club instructors advise
that prospective participants
may register upon arrival at
the clubhouse, and that no
equipment or materials are
needed. Registration starts
at 12:00 noon.
The Pennsylvania Game
Commission reminds us that
all persons under 16 years of
age must qualify to pur-
chase their first hunting
license by satisfactorily
completing the Hunter Ed-
ucation Course offered by
our club. This is a fine
opportunity to meet the
requirements needed to
obtain that first hunting
license, and the course is
free. All ages are invited,
and persons need not be a
first time hunter to take this
course.
Trap
shooting
April 1
The Mount Joy Sports-
men’s Association announc-
es they will be starting Trap
Shooting Tuesday, April 1,
1980 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
Trap shooting will be held
the first Tuesday of each
month after the initial shoot.
Participants should bring
their own shells and come
out and shoot some blue
rock. The Association could
also use persons interested
in helping to run the
program.
