Commendation Medal at

The Air Force Commend-
ation Medal is awarded to

the Air Force.
Donna Hay, a Junior at
Donegal High School, will
be a delegate to the annual
District Band Festival at
Gettysburg High School this
weekend. Donna is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Hay, Maytown.

for February. Mitchell is the

Mumaw, 717 Bruce Avenue,
Mount Joy.
Mitchell, an academic
student, plans to attend
college for Mechanical En-
gineering. He has worked as
a mason and mason tender
_ for Alvin and Drew Mum-
maw, Inc.
Outside of school Mitchell
is a member of the Mount
Joy Swim Team and the
Mount Joy Sportsman Jun-
ior Rifle Club. An Eagle
Scout, he is a member of the
Glossbrenner United Meth-

The selection of a high
school program of studies is
always a serious responsibil-
ity. Opportunities for the
future depend upon choices
made today. The Guidance
Department of Donegal
High School will be holding
a series of meetings for
students and parents to
discuss the selection of
courses for the 1980-81
school year. Tuesday, Feb-
ruary 12, the counselors will
meet with 11th grade
students first period, 10th
grade students second peri-
od, and 9th grade students
third period. All sessions
will be held in the school
auditorium. A meeting for
8th grade students is set for
1:00 pm in the Beahm
Junior High School auditor-
ium.
Parents of students are
invited to join in the

February 14, in the Donegal
High School library. Coun-
selors and administrators
will meet with parent of 8th
grade students at 7:00 pm
and with parents of 9th, 10th
and 11th grade students at
8:00 pm. However, if
parents have a conflict in
schedule they may attend at
either time.
Choosing the proper
courses in relation to a
student’s potential and
tentative plans following
graduation from high school
is of utmost importance.
Parents are urged to become
involved in the selection
process by attending one of
the scheduled adult meet-
ings. Students ‘may also
accompany their parents.
