Michael Pricio will serve as chairman of the Authority for the 1980 term. James Baker will serve as sec- retary, John Hoffman as treasurer and Ralph Miller as assistant secretary-treas- urer. Buchart and Horn were reappointed engi- neers. Saint John’s Episcopal holds Holy Eucharist; elects vestry members St. John’s Episcopal Church, Marietta, held its annual parish meeting re- cently. Celebrant at the meeting was the Rev. Canon Kermit Lloyd, Executive Officer of the Diocese of Central PA. Along with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, various parish organization reports were given in the chapel. Submitting reports were: Charlotte Meridith, parish secretary; Daniel Mackin- son, parish assistant treas- urer and Rector’s Warden; Betty Anderson, church school; John P. Kling, youth Lion’s Club of Marietta group; Dorothy Long, altar guild; Mary Portner, Epis- copal Church Women; Mary Ann Shope, organist and remarks by Canon Lloyd. After the Holy Eucharist, elections for two-year terms on the Church vestry were held. Earl Marley and Henry Snavely were re- elected, and Randy Bowers and Michael Kyler were elected. They will serve with John P. Kling, Steve Bowers, Daniel Mackinson and Eugene Marley. Eugene Marley will also serve as the Rector’s Warden of 1980. heard talk on Lionism; entertained by magician The Marietta Lion’s Club met recently with guests speaking on Lionism, its promotion of new members and continued membership with current members. The guests were Park Plasterer, Deputy Governor of District #14 D Lions International, Thomas Muth, chairman of Zone A and Robert Fackler, membership chairman of Zone A. The local club is associated with Zone A. Robert Spangler, pres- ident, conducted the busi- ness session, recognizing current officers. Edgar Ap- pley is vice president and Richard McKain serves as treasurer. James Libhert was appointed secretary, filling the unexpired term of Terrance Shope. Shope will by in Israel for the next two years, assisting with the building of Air Strips. A report on the joint meetings with the regional Mount Joy and Elizabeth- town clubs was given. Officers brought greetings, and the group was enter- tained by a magician. The next meeting will be February S with the Colum- bia Club at the Elk’s Club. The group voted to contribute to the Marietta Community House, Mariet- ta Area Ambulance Associ- ation, Maytown-East Done- gal Ambulance, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Maytown, the refugee fund and the North East Eye Bank.
