The regular meeting of the council will be next Monday. Justice Raymond B. Knorr administered the oath of office to C. Miller Wolgemuth, elected to an additional term on council; Charles W. Ricedorf, former president of council who resigned and then ran again for a seat on council; John W. Harnish, elected to his first term on council and also Robert D. Stoner, also elected to his first term on council. Following the swearing in of the new members, council elected Ammon L. Smith president. Paul L. Stehman was elected vice-president. Mayor James Gingrich officiated during the elect- ion of the new president and vice-president. The newly elected presi, dent Smith then took the gavel from the mayor. Smith thanked council for their confidence in him. Bruce Hamer, borough manager was elected bo- rough secretary and zoning officer of the borough. D. C. Gohn Associates were re-selected as borough engineers. Barley, Snyder, Cooper, and Barber were selected as borough solicitor. Trout, Ebersole, and Groff were picked again as borough auditor. Jay Roberts president of Marietta Council Jay Roberts was elected president of the Marietta Borough Council Monday night in council chambers. Elected vice-president at the reorganization meeting was John Reuter. Council also installed new members, including the first This week’s Marietta Youth Street Hockey practice to be held at the Marietta Community House, Thursday, 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Interested persons should contact Gary Newton at 426-2514. Marietta Youth Center activities will be held weekly through the end of April. All activities will be held at the Marietta Community House from 7 to 8:30 pm.
