The feature music by the Cherub and Celestial Child- ren's choirs. The Chancel Choir has prepared a series of anthems that clebrate the birth of Christ. The service 7:30 service will Christmas will conclude with candle- lighting. I'he 11:00 service will have as its theme, ‘‘The Gift’. This will be de- veloped through music, anthems and meditations. The Wesley Singers, the youth choir, will provide the special anthems. Instru- mentalist will be Ellen Endslow. The candlelight- ing in which all participate will conclude the service. Allen Artz, the church organist, will give a recital of Christmas music one half hour prior to each service. The sanctuary will be decorated especially for these services. Annual candlelight Christmas eve services at Donegal Presbyterian The Senior Choir of Donegal Presbyterian Church, under the direction of Lynn Millard, will present its annual Candlelight Ser- vice on December 24, 1979, at 5S pm at Donegal Presbyterian Church, RD 1, Mount Joy. The choir will be singing ‘‘To Us a Son is Given’’ by Johann Sebastian Bach. : Soloists are Sonia Foryy, Terry Millard and Kirk Billet. The choir will also sing “Thou Must Leave Thy Lowly Dwelling’’ by Hector Berlioz and ‘‘Lullaby of the Shepherds’ by Robert Wetzler. The service will conclude with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of “Silent Night’. A free will offering will be collect- ed. Cantata by JS: Bach, Zion Lutheran Church “Everlasting Joy,” a cantata for mixed voices by J. S. Bach, and arranged by Ellen Jane Lorenz, will be presented by the choir of Zion Lutheran Church, Marietta, on Sunday, Dec. 23, at the 10:45 AM service. Director is Mrs. William Rudy. Soloists will be Lauralee Baker, soprano, and Michael Myers, tenor. The cantata is in lieu of a sermon. The public is invited.
