Ken Brandt tells BPW
about new legislation
State representative Ken
Brandt was the guest
speaker for the last meeting
of the Mount Joy Business
and Professional Women’s
Club.
He discussed bills now on
the floor of the legislature,
including one to limit
government spending, a
new ‘‘no fault’’ insurance
bill, and one dealing with
unemployment compensa-
tion.
Brandt stressed that the
citizen does have a part in
the government, and that
people should write to their
legislators more often and
take a stand on the issues.
Brandt's appearance was
arranged by Miss Ruth Eby,
who also introduced Brandt.
After Brandt's talk, music
was performed by three
- Donegal High seniors: Julie
Endslow, Beth Prowell, and
Kim Boyer.
DHS Girl of the Month
Sherri Kinsey, and her
mother, Mrs. James Kin-
sey, were introduced to the
club by Mrs. John Wittel of
the Personal Development
Committee.

Christmas Tree Trail, a
BPW-sponsored benefit
slated for Saturday, Dec.
15th, was presented.

them to local nursing homes
and present them to former
residents of the area.
The December session
will be held on Monday,
Dec. 17th, at 6:00pm, at
Hostetter’s. The Hospitality
Committee is arranging the
program. Co-chairwomen
