The ceremony was per- formed by Mr. Billett’s uncle, Rev. T. Grant Billett of York. ‘*We've had nine wonder- ful years together,” said Mr. Billett. §§§ Three Mount Joy students at Juniata College—Jeff Boulton, Jacob Jake Sherk, and Philip Good—have been awarded scholarships for this academic year. Boulton and Sherk got Alumni Annual Support Fund scholarships, based on their class ranking, charac- ter, leadership and citizen- ship. Good was awarded a Cresswell - Shellenberger scholarship for science majors. Jeff Boulton, a business and languages major, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Boulton of RD1. Jake Sherk is a chem major, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob G. Sherk of 207 S. Barbara Street. Good is studying pre-medicine. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Good. Jr., of 626 Donegal Springs Road. Bryant, son of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Bryant, 269 W. Walnut St., Marietta, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall term at Penn State, York Campus. Jeffrey is studying for an associate degree in compu- ter science. Bertha and Harry Riley of Marietta are featured on a 1980 Energy Calendar. Goslik, of Elizabethtown, was recently promoted from electrician to the newly-created position of assistant manager of administration for the Hersheypark & Arena main- tenance staff. Gosik’s new responsibili- ties include coordination of material and work order systems, as well as monitor- ing the flow and control of all Hersheypark mainten- ance requirements. Gosik served in the Air Force in automated material and planning. He retired after 21 years as a senior Master Sergeant. §§§ Jo Ann Ramsey-Weigel, of Brian Ave., RD2 Mount Joy, is the new head nurse at the Student Health Center of Elizabethtown College. Mrs. Ramsey- Weigel trained at the Presbyterian University" Hospital in Pittsburgh. She previously worked as an occupational health nurse with M&M Mars, and at E-town High School. Since taking over at the college. she has set new hours and introduced an “on call’ system for off hours. She is planning a preventive medicine and health awareness program for the students. Stacy Heiserman The 8 point buck This buck cost a hunter an awful lot of bucks Dave Brodhecker of May- town bagged the first deer of his hunting career at 7:50am on Monday, Nov. 26th, near Mt. Gretna. The 8-point buck weighed 120 pounds. After dragging his deer down the mountainside to a point where it could be reached by his car, Dave seriously injured his right knee when he stepped out of his car. The day which began so successfully ended in Lancaster General Hos- pital. Dave is at home now, but further medical attention is necessary.
