sion of the Slaymaker family
near Gap, on December 14,
1S and 16. The home will be
decorated for the Christmas
season.
Costumed guides will
conduct tie tours from 7 to
9PM. They will proceed
from the 1720 tavern room
through progressive addi-
tions, built in 1790, 1807 and
1923.
Tours will end in the
“White Chimneys’ muse-
um, the only one of its kind
in the country, containing
artifacts of the home’s
inhabitants from pre-Revo-
lutionary times to the
present. Particularly sought

home, S.R. Slaymaker II,

Among new acquisitions
which can be viewed for the
first time are Amos Slay-
maker’s desk, dating from
the late 1780’s, and his
barrel-back chair, of the
same period.
“White Chimneys’’ is
located on Rt. 30, 14 miles
east of Lancaster; 1/2 a mile
west of Gap on the North
side of Rt. 30.
