Zion Lutheran Women
sponsor bazaar this Fri. & Sat.
The Lutheran Church
Women of Zion Church in
Marietta will hold a holiday
bazaar on Friday, Nov. 30th,
and Saturday, Dec. 1st, at
the church. It's located on
Colebrook Road, just off
Rte. 441 outside Marietta.
Friday hours will be
11:00am to 8:00pm; 9:00am
to 1:00pm on Saturday.
A luncheon will be served
on Friday from 11:00 to
2:00: macaroni or potato
salad, pie or cake, chips,
sandwich and beverage, all

Zion Lutheran Nursery School
The First Thanksgiving
was re-enacted on Wednes-
day by the students,
teachers, and room mothers
at Zion Lutheran Nursery
School, Marietta.
The children used place-
mats they had watercolored,
turkeys made from paper
plates and candles to
re-enacts Thanksgiving
decorate their table.
The children wore Indian
headbands that they had
made, Mrs. Becky Von
Stetten (room mother) wore
full Indian dress and Mrs.
Cheryl K. Ronan (teacher)
dressed as a pilgrim.
Together they acted out the
story of the first Thanksgiv-
ing after having it read to
them.
Room mothers Mrs. Car-
ole Keim, Mrs. Jean Maurer
and Mrs. Becky Von Stetten
helped the children to make
biscuits and butter and to
make turkeys out of apples.
They also helped with
games.
Everyone then sat down
to a Thanksgiving feast
consisting of biscuits and
butter, pumpkin cookies
(made by the children) and
punch.
While seated around the
candlelit table the children
joined hands and each told
of one thing for which he or
she ‘was éspecially thankful.

Kim and Sharon to
perform at Crossroads
Kim and Sharon, a vocal
group composed of two
housewives, will present a
program of Christian music
on Sunday, Dec. 2nd, at
7:00pm at the Cross Roads
Church, Mount Joy.
Kim and Sharon have
been singing together since
September. They met at the
Wesleyan Church in Frack-
ville, where they had
worshipped and sung in
church together for three
years.
The Sharon half of Kim
and Sharon is Sharon Morin,
of Frackville. She is the
organist at her church. Mrs.
Kim Gello, from Barnes-
ville, Pa., is the other half.
Kim has a B.A. degree in
music education from Mes-
siah College (1972). She has
toured with Re-Entry, a
faith music group consisting
of six Messiah College
graduates.
