Help available
for heating bills
Assistance to low-income
people for help in meeting
heating bills is now avail-
able from the Lancaster
County Office of Aging.
Applications are now being
taken, by appointment only,
at the Lancaster County
Board of Assistance and the
Office of Aging. Area offices
of the Community Action
Program are also involved in
the program.
Eligibility limits are:
KEG Rid, k.
1-person household, $354
per month or $4250 per
year; 2-person household,
$469/month or $5625/year.
If you are getting SSI, you
automatically meet the re-
quirements.
Payments will range from
$250 to $350, depending on
the source of fuel. All usual
types of fuel, including
wood, may be funded.
