The Vogts’ daughter, Michelle, struck up a conversation with Anjah Datta. Since that meeting the two families have stayed in touch by mail. Mr. Datta is operations manager of Calcutta airport. He has visited the U.S. about six times. Formerly a pilot, he was forced to retire from that job when his eyesight became poor. His wife Anjah has been to the U.S. once before, to visit her niece in New York City—the trip on which she met Michelle Vogt. Mrs. Datta works at a children’s museum in Calcutta, and also sits on the board of directors of the museum. While visiting here the Dattas toured TMI, Choco- late World in Hershey, a pretzel factory, a chicken house, a large dairy farm, and the ‘‘Amish country.” They were amazed by the large shopping centers they “eo a ats saw, and impressed by the scientific methods used on American farms. The Dattas presented the Vogts with many gifts, some of which they had made themselves. ADJUSTMENTS "w FOUNDED DONEGAL MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY MARIETTA, PENNA.
