Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10am.
at the St. Paul’s United
Methodist: Church, Eliza-
bethtown, with the Rev.
Frank Nickel officiating.
The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Dorothy Rose,
Mount Joy R1, and the late
Abram S. Hoffer. She
graduated from Donegal
High School and is em-
ployed by William P.
Strube, Inc., Marietta.
The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Reynolds, Lewes, Del., and
the late Daniel William
Wentzel. He graduated
from Elizabethtown High
School and ‘served in the
U.S. Navy for four years. He
is employed by Armstrong
Cork Co., Marietta ceiling
plant.
Mrs. Susan Bliem, sister
of the bride, Paradise, was
matron of honor. Brides-
maids were Miss Karin
Welcomer and Jean Stotz,
both of Mount Joy.
Serving as best man was
Wayne Cairns, Elizabeth-
town. Ushers were Larry
Aldinger and Stephen Stric-
kler, both of Elizabethtown.
The couple will live in
Mount Joy.

Harry E. Tyson, Jr.
The marriage of Suzanna
K. Ember to Harry E.
Tvson, Jr., took place on
Saturday, October 20th, at
2p.m. in St. Peter’s Catholic
Church, Elizabethtown. The
Rev. Callistus Juras officiat-
ed at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Ember, Elizabethtown. She
is a graduate of Elizabeth-
town High School and the
Mount Joy Vo-Tech School.
She is employed by Wilton
Armetale, Wrightsville.
The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry E.
Tyson, Sr., of Farmdale. He
graduated from Donegal
High School and served in
the U.S. Army. He is
employed by AMP, York.
Robin Ember, sister of the
bride, was the maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were
Karen Kramer and Nancy
Hower.
Donald Flowers of Mari-
etta was the best man.
Ushers were Armond Fieni
and Frank Ember,
brother of the bride.
The couple will live in
Marietta.
Maytown Civic Ass’n.
‘to meet Tue., Nov. 13
The Maytown Civic Asso-
ciation will hold their first
fall and winter mecting at
the East Doncgal Township
Municipal Building on Tues-
dav. Nov. 13th. at 7:30pm.
This meeting is open to
M.J. Welcome Wagon
the public. Election of
officers for next year will
take place.
All members are interest-
cd people are urged to
attend and submit their
ideas for 1980 activities.
to meet November 13
The November meeting of
the Mount Joy Welcome
Wagon will be held on
Tuesday, Nov. 13th, at
Trinity Lutheran Church.
The evening will start with a
mystery dinner at 6:30pm.
Members will have to un-
scramble riddles to receive
their dinner. After dinrer a
Chinese Auction will be
held.
October brought the club
five new members: Ruth
Jeffries, Kathy Marsh,
Donna Nelson, Becky Stam-
baugh, and Audrey Krantz.
Lunch Bunch will be held
at Sherwood Knoll on
Friday, November 30th. The
social for this month will be
a tour of Three Mile Island
followed by a party at the
home of Ann Bernard.
The Schock Home, on
November 8th, will be the
place to find members busy
helping the ladies with a
Thanksgiving craft. The
name of the lucky winner of
the $50 gift certificate will
be announced at the
meeting.
Our cookbooks will be
distributed at the meeting.

The marriage of Miss
Peggy Lynn Shenk to
Michael Joseph Moyer took
place on Saturday, Nov. 3rd,
at 4:30pm, at the Cross
Roads Brethren In Christ
Church. The Rev. Dale
Engle officiated.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rohrer
Shenk of RD1 Mount Joy.
She is a graduate of Donegal
High School and Lancaster
County ATVS practical
nursing program. She is
employed by Heatherbank
Nursing Center, Columbia.
The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. William K.
Moyer of 57 W. Walnut St.,
Marietta. He is a graduate
of Donegal High School and
the Willow Street Vo-Tech
School. He is employed
by Motter Printing Press
Co., York.
The maid of honor was
Miss Susie Shenk, sister of
the bride, of Mount Joy.
Bridesmaids were Miss
Patty Shenk, sister of the
bride, Mount Joy; Miss
Lesetta Mummau, Mount
Joy; and Miss Paula Moyer,
sister of the groom,

SHRUM, Mr. and Mrs.
James (Lynda Gestewitz),
Marietta. Jenna Heistand,
York, was the flower girl.
Joseph Meszaros of
Marietta served as best
man. Ushers were William
Moyer, Jr., brother of the
groom, and Ray Smith, both
of Marietta; and Stanley
Shenk, brother of the bride,
Mount Joy.
The bride wore a
horsehair braid cap set with
silk Venise lace and seed
pearls and rhinestones. Her
fingertip-length veil was
trimmed with silk Venise
lace and set with appliques
of matching lace of daisy
design.
Her gown featured a
scoop neckline trimmed with
daisies. It was of silk Venise
lace with daisy and rosebud
designs. The flutter sleeves
extended from a front
bodice over the shoulder to
form a waistline cape in
back. The A-line skirt fell
to two tiers, and was
trimmed with small daisies
of silk Venise lace. The train
was of chapel length.
The couple will live in
Mount Joy.
