School Board agenda
The agenda for the School
Board meeting of Thursday,
Oct. 18, at 8:00pm in the
District Offices on South
Market Ave., Mount Joy, is
as follows:
1. The Board will get a
report from Mr. Knorr on
the athletic trainer program
that he is pursuing at
Millersville State College.
2. The resignation of a
Donegal High School Eng-
lish teacher, Mrs. Susan
Schlosser. (The District is
now interviewing replace-
ment candidates.)
3. Contract to a teacher
substitute and other substi-
tutes to be approved.
4. The employment of a
supervisor for the early bus
students at the junior high.
S. Personnel matters:
coaching recommendations,
etc.
6. Requests for approval
to attend meetings, semin-
ars, student conferences,
etc,
7. A report on the DEA
arbitration.
8. Approval of unemploy-
ment compensation plan.
9. Resignation of a tax
collector in Mount Joy
Township.
10. District auditor’s
report for 1978-79 to be
discussed.
Obituaries
MRS. CLARENCE SHELLY
Blanche H. Shelly, 63, of
742 Bruce Ave., Mount Joy,
died last week at Lancaster
General Hospital.
She was the wife of
Clarence N. Shelly. She was
born in Lancaster, a
daughter of the late
Christian and Catherine
Hess Smith.
She was a member of the
East Fairview Church of the
Brethren.
In addition to her
husband, she is survived by
three daughters: Dorothy,
the wife of Roy Kenneth
Geib of Mount Joy RDI;
Edith, the wife of Arthur B.
Hess, Manheim RD2; and
Mary Ann, the wife of Fred
A. Shoop, Mount Joy. She is
also survived by four grand-
children; a brother, Jacob
Smith, of Lancaster; a sister
Jane, the wife of Murray
Leakway, Newmanstown;
and another sister, Leah
Espenshade, of Lancaster.
CLYDE LINDEMUTH
Clyde L. Lindemuth, 68,
of West Elizabeth St.,
Maytown, died last week at
Lancaster General Hospital
after a lenghty illness.
He was born in Rowenna,
a son of the late Willis S.
and Mae Billet Lindemuth.
He worked for 42 years at
Gerberich and Payne Shoe
Co., retiring in 1970.
Surviving him are his
wife, Pauline E. Hartzell
Lindemuth, Maytown; a son
Gerald, of Maytown; a son
Donald, of Elizabethtown;
three grandchildren; and a
sister, Mrs. Louise Winters
of Elizabethtown.
11. Awarding of bids for
curbing and sidewalks at the
junior high.
12. A request for
permission to advertise for
bids on trash removal and
elementary library books.
13. Property matters,
repairs, etc.
14. Transportion con-
tracts.
1S. Legislative and other
matters that are brought up.’
Book fair
at M.S.C.
A book fair will be held at
Ganser Library on the
Millersville campus on Oct.
26-28. Many unusual books,
prints, etc, will be offered.
Bookbinding will be demon-
strated. Gate receipts will
benefit the Friends of
Ganser Library organiza-
tion. Hours are 6-10pm
Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday
and 12-Spm Sunday.
