Diane Krantz is the Susquehanna Times’ new editor. She is shown with one of our
mascots, Charles W. Dickensheets . Diane, who grew up in Strasburg, is soon moving
to Mount Joy.
Diane Krantz is editor
of Susquehanna Times
Diane L. Krantz has been
appointed editor of the
Susquehanna Times.
For the past year Diane
has been advertising man-
ager of the Times, a post she
will retain while also
becoming editor.
She was graduated this
past August from Millers-
ville State College, with a
B.A., cum laude in English
and a minor in psychology.
Diane worked an average of
thirty hours every week
while she attended Millers-
ville, earning and paying all
her expenses for her
education. During her first
two years at Millersville she
worked as a salesperson at
Kinney Shoes, East Towne
Mall, Lancaster. Her last
year at college she was ad
manager of the Times.
By attending summer
school and taking a full
load of courses while also
working, Diane was able to
finish her college education
in three years.
While working at Kinney
Shoes, Diane conducted a
marketing study which
related parents’ modes of
child rearing to who made
the buying decision—parent
or child. The management
of Kinney Shoes was very
interested in Diane’s find-
ings.
Diane was graduated in
June, 1976 from Lampeter-
Strasburg High School. She
was a member of the
National Honor Society,
class vice-president, layout
editor for the yearbook, and
a member of the hockey
team.
Her chief non-profession-
al interests are running,
Western horseback riding,
and reading. For seven
years she owned her own
horse, Beauty.
She is the daughter of
Paul and Emma Krantz;
R.D. 1, Strasburg, Pa. She
has two younger sisters,
Joan, a student at York
Academy of Art, and Patti,
4.
Diane is a member of New
Providence Mennonite
Church.
Miss Krantz will be
moving to Mount Joy at the
end of this month.
