To the editor;
In response to Mrs. Jane
Shultz’s misinformed and
erroneous accusations of the
Donegal Braves Football
Program, I would like to
take this opportunity to
respond to these false
allegations.
First of all, these organi-
zations are not run by the
same people, and attending
parent meetings would en-
lighten her to this fact.
Mrs. Shultz also contends
that her son did not play in
any games for 2 years on
teams that didn’t win a

M.Y.A.A. a clique? Not
so. In response to Mrs. Jane
Shultz’s letter last week in
your paper, I would like to
give you our facts and
feelings.
No, our baseball and soft-
ball program is not dying, in
fact we are getting bigger
and better.
Since our inception we
have grown from six teams
and approximately 75 kids to
11 teams and 175 kids.
The clique, as we are
called, are the handful of
people who donate their
time and effort to make this
one of the better organiza-
tions in this area. We would
be better if the people who
sit back and criticize would
get off their whispering, and
criticizing backs and help
out once in a while.
In reference to our travel-
ing midgets our policy is as
follows. Tryouts are held
and the better players are
picked. Then the boys are
told they have a choice to
stay or go back down to
pee-wees. Once they make
that choice they are commit-
ed for the year. Mrs.
Shultz’s son had that choice

Every boy on the ‘B’ team
played in every game and
almost evenly played a half
of every game.
Mrs. Shultz’ son was a
lineman, and her husband
was his line coach. He
surely would know if his son
hadn’t played.
I question whether Mrs.
Shultz wants her son to be
on a baseball or football
team or be the team himself.
Thank you

What he learned 1 credit
to his coach at that time,
Mr. Don Neal, who brought
him along slow so he would
learn to adjust to the better
competition.
I must say that right now
he must be doing another
fine job as his team is 6 wins
and 1 loss in the Susque-
hanna League. I have seen
most of his games and he
does try to use his bench

fortunately there are some
parents who don’t want to
be active, and it is not fair to
criticize those who are. .

Hello, Technology, hello!
This is John Doe speaking.
I’m calling re T-M-I's
Nuclear bucket-leaking.
We think that you did what you could,
And your intentions may be good,
But since you’ve jeopardized our homes,
And explanation glibly comes,
Arrayed in various disguises
As utility devises;
Pray! where do we go from here?
Radiation’s reach is far.
T-M-1, my Lord, is neag.
Faulty judgement, faulty car—
Works, no matter where you are.
But—far or near—the naked fact is
Theory needs a lot of practice.
Furthermore, what’s your solution
Of the problem of pollution?
P.S.
You have the ball; we know that you can roll it.
But are you certain that you can control it?
