Schlosser heads Maytown Memorial Day services

Dr. David E. Schlosser
was recently elected presi-
dent of the Mount Joy
Tennis Club. Plans were
announced for the Sth
annual Memorial Day Mixed
Doubles Tournament to be
held at the boro courts on
Saturday and Sunday, May
26, and 27, and the finals to
be played on Monday, May
28.
This tournament has been
increasing in number of
entries and the caliber of
tennis each year, and
advance reservations show
that this year will be bigger
and better than ever.

Three graduate from LCB
professional studies in
Christian Education while
Miss Spangler had her
professional studies in
Missions.
Mr. Jenkins received two
awards during the Com-
mencement ceremonies. He
was elected to the Delta
Epsilon Chi Honor Society
for showing outstanding
academic scholarship, ap-
proved Christian character,
and Christian leadership
ability, and he was
nominated for Who’s Who
Among Students in Ameri-
can Universities And Col-
leges for evidencing schol-
arship ability, for partici-
pating in and leading in
academic and extracurricu-
lar activities, for citizenship
and service to the college,
and for showing a potential
for future achievement.
During his years as a
student, he served as a
representative to the Stu-
dent Council, was on the
Senior Class Executive
Committee, and was feat-
ured on a slide-tape
presentation for the Public
Affairs Department of the
college.
Miss
Spangler was a
member of the yearbook
staff and of the Social
Committee.
