This official overseas relief and develop- ment agency is a practical extension and expression of American Catholic concern for all men—Christian, Moslem, Buddhist, or other. Last year, CRS was able to pyramid the contributions to the 1978 appeal into a $275 million package of goods and services supplied to more than 18 million people in 86 countries. With ‘need, not creed’’ as a basic guideline, CRS was active in Asia, the Middle’ East, Africa and Latin America. Special thanks to the membership of Assumption BVM Church for their generous and loyal support in the past. Everyone wishing to participate in the CRS APPEAL should make their contributions at the weekend masses or mail to Assumption BVM Church, c/o Presentation BVM Church, 349 East Market Street, Marietta, Pennsyl- vania 17547. —J.
