Cystic fibrosis is one of
the most life-threatening
diseases of children. Every
day five newborn American
lives begin with cystic
fibrosis. And every day
three lives are lost-because
of it. The funds raised
through the bike-a-thons
are used to assist the
parents of afflicted children
by lending them therapeu-
tic equipment which they
might not otherwise be
able to affford. It’s also
used to finance a national
effort to find a control or
cure for cystic fibrosis and
all other serious children’s
lung damaging diseases.
When a cure is finally
found, we can say our
bike-a-thon had helped
make it possible.
