Mount Joy Bike-a-thon for cystic fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis is one of
the most life-threatening
diseases of children. A
little known entity only
twenty-five years ago, it
occurs in approximately
one of every 1,600 live
births in this country.
Funds raised through
bike-a-thons are used to
assist the parents of
afflicted children by lend-
ing them therapeutic e-
quipment which they might
not otherwise be able to
afford, as well as finance a
national effort to find a
control or cure for cystic
fibrosis and all other
serious children’s lung-da-
maging diseases.
Volunteers in the com-
munity of Mount Joy are
presently organizing a
bike-a-thon to be held in
May for this express
purpose. Sponsor sheets

Sarbaugh at Seiler Grade
School, Tom Konas at

newspapers next week. We
can look forward to the day
when the lives of those
affected by CF are not just
lengthened but saved.
Wl.2n that day comes, our
