MRS. WILLIAM
DETTINGER
Mrs. Susanna W. Det-
tinger, 95, died Tuesday at
11 AM at Conestoga View,

of 64 N. Chestnut St.,
Marietta. She was the
widow of William E.
Dettinger, who died in
August, 1956.

She was the oldest member
of the English United
Presbyterian Church, Mar-

Gertrude W. Justice, Glen-
dale, Calif.; and Horace, of
Surviving are four child- five grandchildren, 17
ren; Gertrude, wife of J. great-grandchildren, and 29

Ambulance
report
The March meeting of
the Maytown-East Donegal
Township Ambulance Asso-
ciation was called to order
by vice president Charles
Schaffner. Minutes were
read and approved.
The crew chief report
was given ' by Sheila

month of February the
ambulance responded to 15
calls:
4 emergency calls
2 emergency calls for auto
accidents
1 emergency call for a fire
call
3 routine transports
3 routine covers for E-town
1 standby for Rheems
1 standby for Mount Joy at
Donegal High School
The total number of
people responding was 63
for an average number per
call of 4.20 people. The
total time spent on all calls
was 92 hours and 32
minutes.
359 miles were traveled
alltogether.
Plans for Spring Bingo
Night were finalized. Tick-
ets were given to members
to sell at a cost of ten
dollars. This entitles play-
ers to:
10 hard ¢ards—20 games
10 book specials—20 games
3 strips crazy T
3 strips picture frame
3 jackpot strips with $100
guaranteed jackpot
The ambulance will also
be in charge of refresh-
ments that night. Any food
donations would be greatly
appreciated.
Motion was made and
approved to accept Janet
Ebersole into the organiza-
tion as a daytime driver.
Training will start immed-
iately.
Canvassing of Maytown
and East Donegal Town-
ship will run March 3rd
through 16th. Memberships
will be $5.00 for a family,
$3.00 for single members.
This entitles members to
free ambulance service for
one year. Any member
giving a donation will also
receive a free Basic Life
Support Handbook. These
books can be purchased by
non-members for one
dollar.
