February 7, 1979 Riverview Pact is selling T-shirts The Riverview Elemen- tary School ‘‘Pact’’ organi- zation of Marietta is having a T-shirt sale, now through February 28th. They’re attempting to promote school spirit and to raise funds for school activities and equipment. They want your support. They're selling a short sleeved cotton/polyester T-shirt in youth and adult sizes. They are green with the words ‘‘Riverview Red- skins’’ and Pact’s new emblem printed in a darker green on the front. Shirts may be ordered at the school on Thursday, February 8th; Friday, Feb- ruary 9th; Thursday, Feb- ruary 22rd; and Friday, February 23rd. Times are 9:30 to 11:00 AM and 1:30 Chiques AAA All-Star Game The third annual volley- ball all-star game between the Chiques Adult Athletic Association and the Co- lumbia Y.M.C.A. will be held on Sunday, February 11, at 1:30 PM in the Columbia High School gym. The competition will feature female, male, and co-ed matches. Ten door prizes will be given away between the games. The proceeds from the game will benefit both the Chiques A.A.A. and the Columbia Y.M.C.A. The following players have been chosen to repre- sent the Columbia league: Pat McKonly, Betty Smoker, Cliff Zeamer, Teresa Laveton, Diane Able, Earl Rapp, Glenn Peters, Daryl Houseal, Sue Barker, Beth Kise, Rick Hean, Peggy Meyers, Rick Bowers and Mike Grabb. Players selected from the Chiques A.A.A. include: Joe Eberts, Claudette Lehman, Colleen Kaylor, Ed Kaylor, Mike Lippold, Mike Steinbaecher, Lynn Baker, Lolly Baker, Val DeCola, Connie Lombard, Bob Shank, Ted Martin, Barry Waltz and Sue Smith. The follwing sponsors have donated door prizes for the Chiques® A.A.A.: Edgar Appley’s Newstand — $5.00 gift certificate; The Marietta Post Office — a mint set; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lippold — $10.00; Fay Sherman’s Restaurant — $5.00 gift certificate for dinner; and Three Center Square Inn — $12.00 gift certificate for dinner. The Columbia Y.M.C.A. will also have 5 prizes donated. Admission for this event is $1.00. Tickets are available at the following locations: Fay Shermans Restaurant in Marietta, The Marietta Post Office, McBride's Sporting Goods in Marietta, Jacks Locker Room in Columbia, The Columbia Y.M.C.A. office at 329 Chestnut Street. to 4:00 PM.
