HARRY E. DYER
Harry E. Dyer, 94, died
at 11:45 a.m. December 13
at the Duke Convalescent
Residence, where he had
been a guest for six weeks.
He formerly resided in
Mount Joy.
He was the husband of
the late Ella Greiner Dyer,
who died in 1930. Born in
Lancaster, he was a son of
the late William and Susan
Eichler Dyer.
Surviving are seven
children: Edwin G., Lititz
R3; Clara, wife of Edwin G.
Myers, Manheim R2; Anna
Mary, wife of Clarence
Geib, Lititz; Harry G. Jr.,
Elizabethtown; Eleanor G.,
wife of Abner B. Nauman,
Manheim R2; Martha J.,
wife of Albert Brosey,
Columbia R1; and Dorothy
E., wife of Paul E. Gantz,
Manheim; 28 grandchild-
ren, 23 great-grandchild-
ren, and one great-great-
grandchild; and two sisters,
Esther Waltz and Suie
Ryder, both of Mount Joy.

Obituaries
ROBERT SCHWERT
Robert G. Schwert, 43, of
1S N. President Ave., was
pronounced dead on arrival
at 11:30 a.m. December 13
at St. Joseph Hospital.
Schwert was stricken ill
while at work at the
Centerville Elementary
School, where he was a:
special education teacher.
An autopsy to determine
the cause of death will be
performed today. Born in

Columbia, he was a son of
the late Fred and Rose
Salzman Schwert. He was
the husband of Caryl
Aurick Schwert.
He was baptized in the
Christian faith.
Schwert was a graduate
of Columbia High School
and Millersville State Col-
lege. He was a member of
the National Education
Association, the Pennsyl-
vania State Education As-
sociation and the Hemp-
field Education Association.
Besides his wife, at
home, he is survived by
two daughters; Laura and
Shelly, both of Mount Joy.
One brother and two sisters
also survive: Fred D.,
Columbia; Catherine, wife
of Paul O. Pfeiffer, Colum-
bia R3; and Beatrice, wife
of Lloyd Alexander, Balti-
more, Md.
