Obituaries
MRS. CHESTER YORDY
Mrs. Goldie Mae Yordy,
58, of Bainbridge, died
Sunday at her home, after
a protracted illness. She
was the wife of Chester D.
Yordy.
Born in Shamokin, she
was the daughter of the
late George and Nadine
Tyson Snyder. She was a
resident of the area for
most of her life.
Mrs. Yordy was a mem-
ber of the Word of Life
Chapel in Bainbridge RDI.
She was several times the
president of the Maytown
American Legion Auxiliary,
and held several chair-
womanships in that unit.
She was also president of
the Lancaster County Coun-
cil of the American Legion
Auxiliary, and served as
rehabilitation chairwoman.
Being director of the
Council, she served as
liason between the Depart-
ment and Lancaster County
units.
She served two terms as
chapeau of Salon 354,
Eight and Forty.
She was a volunteer at
the Coatesville Veterans’
Hospital for 1S years.
Surviving her, in addition
to \her husband, are: two
daughters and a son; Mrs.

RD1; Judy, wife of Michael
E. Drace, Maytown; and
Chester D. Yordy, Jr.,
Wrightsville.
Also surviving are: 15
grandchildren, and three
sisters and a brother—
Vivian Ruby, Lancaster;
Jackie, wife of Thomas
Wheary, Paradise; Jean,
wife of Joseph Wysock,
Lancaster; and Daniel G.
Snyder, Media.
MRS. ALBERT
GREENLEY
Carrie E. Greenley, 89,
of 4095 Forest Road,
Westvue Estates, Mount
Joy RD3, formerly of
Talmadge, died Friday at
Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the widow of
Albert Y. Greenley. Before
she lived with her daughter
in Mount Joy she had been
a guest at the Lehman
Nursing Home in Rheems.
Mrs. Greenley was a life
-long member of the Salem
United Church of Christ in
Leola.
Born in New Holland,
she was the daughter of
the late Wilham and
Susanne Groff Sprecher.
She is survived by a
daughter, Florence, wife of
Robert L. Garber, Mount
Joy RD3, and one grand-
daughter.
PUFA—People United
For the Arts—will hold its
next meeting on Tuesday,
November 14 in the art
room at Donegal High
School. The meeting starts
at 7:30 PM.
A special musical pro-
gram will be presented by
Adante, a vocal group
composed of Kathy Milo-
vanovic, Carol Witman,
Sharon Zimmerman, and
Becky Zimmerman. The
sisters will sing excerpts
from their new album and
some other numbers.
PUFA urges all interest-

PUFA also invited you to
come to the annual Vet-
eran’s Day program at
Donegal High on Saturday
evening, November 11th, at
7:30 PM. This tribute to
our veterans will be filled
with music, song, and
drama, and is FREE.
The Veteran's Day pro-
gram, performed by the
DHS dramatics club, will
be under the direction of
Mrs. Mary-Margaret
Peraro.
Gray Panthers
On Saturday, November
11, at 2:0 PM, there will be
an organizational meeting
for Gray Panthers Network
in the YMCA, Lancaster.
Young folk, elder folk
and those in between are
invited to attend, since the
Gray Panthers are Youth
and Age in action to pro-
duce a better life.
