Obituaries
MRS. PAUL H. SHREINER
Helen M. Shreiner, 66,
of 228 North Barbara
Street, Mount Joy, died at
1:15 PM Tuesday at Heath-
erbank Nursing Home, Co-
lumbia, after a lengthy
illness.
Her husband, Paul H.
Shreiner, died in 1971.
She was a resident of
Mount Joy her entire life.
She was a retired clerical
employee of the former
Gerberich-Payne Shoe
Company in Mount Joy.
She was a member of
Mount Joy Church of God,
and the women’s group of
the church. For twenty-five
years, she was treasurer of
Ergatan Sunday School
Class. Mrs. Shreiner was a
charter member of Mount
Joy Business and Pro-
fesional Women’s Club.
She was born in Mount
Joy, daughter of the late
Frank Monroe and Frances
Doneghy Schroll.
Surviving is a step-son,
Dr. David Shreiner, Pitts-
burgh.
HOLMES A. VOORHEES
Holmes A. Voorhees, 73,
Bainbridge, died Thursday
at 7:20 PM at City Hospital
of Martinsburg, Martins-
burg, West Virginia, fol-
lowing a lenghty illness.
He and his wife, Grace
Spayd Voorhees, celebrated
their 45th wedding an-
niversary on August 19th.
Before his retirement in
1967; he was employed in
the maintenance depart-
ment at J.E. Baker Com-
pany, York, for 40 years.
Voorhees was a member
of St. Luke’s Lutheran
Church, Bainbridge.
Born in Darksville, West
Virginia, he was a son of
the late George Edward
and Katherine Cook Voor-
hees.
Beside his wife, he is
survived by one sister,
Clara, wife of Fred Small,
Martinsburg.
MRS. ISAAC S. GEIB
Mabel Ebersole Geib, 84,
of Mount Joy R3, died
unexpectedly ‘September
15th at 1:30 AM at St.
Joseph Hospital where she
had been admitted on
Thursday. She had been
under the care of a
physician.
She was the widow of
Isaac S. Geib who died in
1954. Mrs. Geib was a
member of Pleasant View
United Zion Church, Man-
heim R2.
Born in Middletown, she
was the daughter of the
late David M. and Alice
Brandt Ebersole.
She is survived by three
daughters, Edith G., wife
of Karl N. Haines, Mount
Joy R3, with whom she
resided; Goldie E., wife of
Elmer Espenshade, Eliza-
bethtown, and Mabel E.,
wife of Ellsworth G. Rei-
ner, Mount Joy R2, and
one son, Ralph E. Geib,
Mount Joy; 15 grand-
children; 17 greatgrand-
children and one sister,
Martha J. Shank, Eliza-
bethtown.
