Barbara Street, Mount Joy, to Clay Storekeepers for a day in Emerson Brandt, RD2 Mount Joy. The bride-elect was grad- uated from Donegal High School this year. She is employed by Lancaster Limousine Service of Mount Joy. Mr. Brandt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Brandt of RD2 Mount Joy. He graduated from Don- egal High School in 1976. He is employed by Heil Company of Lancaster. No date has been set for the wedding. The two girls are: Beth Gainer, 59 Marietta Ave., Mount Joy; and Julie Barnhart, 3 East Donegal Street, Mount Joy. Their leader is Deb Swarr of 382 Donegal Springs Road. To get the coveted First Class award, Beth and Julie had to earn six badges in each of these areas: citizenship, inter- national friendship, health and safety, outdoors, home and the arts. They also had to be dependable, prepared for any emergency, and adhere to the Girl Scout Promise. Beth Gainer, an active scout for 8 years, is a 9th grade student at Donegal High. There she is a member of the band, basketball team, track team, and dramatics club. Julie Barnhart has also been a scout for 8 years, and is a classmate of Beth’s at DHS. She is in the freshman chorus at the school, is a cheerleader for the junior high, and is a member of the dramatics club. Both girls have volun- teered to be program aides at Donegal Day this summer, and both will enter senior troop camp in the fall. The First Class awards were presented at a candle- lit ceremony on June 13th. Parents and troop members of Troop #27 attended.
