Refreshments the meeting. Co-hostesses were Muriel Saylor, Eliza- bethtown; Mrs. Robert Fellenbaum, Mount Joy; and Mrs. Jay Bixler, Marietta. Mrs. Carl Diller, Lancas- ter, the county president, presided over the business meeting. Many important items concerning the group were discussed and final- ized. Lombard, of RD2 Columbia near Mari- etta, recently graduated from Franklin and Marshall College on June 4th, at the 191st F&M commence- ment. Lt. Nathan Hess Navy Lieutenant Nathan Hess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Menno L. Hess, of 303 S. Market Ave., Mount Joy, recently participated in exercise ‘‘Solid Shield *78" off the coast of North Carolina: 28,000 personnel took part. Some of them attacked, some fought back —all make believe. Hess is a 1970 graduate of North Carolina State University, with a B.S. degree. He joined the Navy in August*1962. yo hit i polis, MD, from June 11th to -June 16th. 75-Plus Banquet More than 250 senior citizens attended the 22nd annual 75-Plus Banquet, sponsored by the Mount Joy Jaycees and Joycee-ettes, held June 8th. Chairpeople for the event were Robert Stoner, Nancy Nestleroth, Sandra Rossman, and decorations chair- woman Jane Shipley. Joycee-ette president Kathleen Bower awarded prizes.
