Myers, Sr., Mount Joy, R.D 3, died Saturday night as a result of injuries he suffered while riding his motorcycle earlier in the evening along Pinkerton Road south of Mount Joy. Myers, born in Fort Knox, Ky., was the son of Charles L. and Mary Knable Myers, Jr., who live in Rheems. Myers was employed by ITT Grinnell Corp., Columbia. EARL G. MUMMA Earl G. ““Cappy’’ Mumma, 85, of 13 SS. Market Street, Mount Joy, died at his home Monday after an extended illness. He lived in Mount Joy all his life. He retired from farming ten years ago. He was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church. Born in Newton, he was a son of the late Jacob D. and Effie Haverstick Mumma, and the husband of Minerva Hauenstein Mumma. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son Herbert W., of Banner, Miss.: a stepdaughter Carcena Light, New Cum- berland; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grand- children. In addition to his parents, Myers is survived by his wife, Fay Kaufman Myers; a son, Charles E. Myers, Jr.; two sisters, Cathy A., wife of Dwight D. Leabhart, Elizabeth- town, and Miss Janet E. Myers, Rheems; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rita E. Myers, Elizabethtown, and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Milla Knable, Mount Union. CATHERINE M. SHANK Mrs. Catherine M. Shank of York and formerly of Marietta and Florida, died at age 87 at Heatherbank Health Care Center, Co- lumbia. She was the widow of Henry J. Shank, who died in 1955. She was formerly employed at Wyeth Labora- tories, and was a matron at Masonic Homes in Eliza- bethtown before moving to Florida 23 years ago. She moved to York three years ago to live with her daughter. She was born in Weston, the daughter of the late Peter and Threresa Roinick. She is survived by one daughter, Marie, the wife of Richard E. Hecht, with whom she lived; one grand- son; three great-grand- sons; a sister, Marion Otto, of Miami, Florida; and a brother, William L.
