Beahm Junior High School will present the twelfth annual modern dance show on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 8th, 9th, and 10th in evening perfor- mances at 8 o'clock p.m. in the Beahm auditorium. Show directress is Mrs. Joyce Zangari and the master of ceremonies is Michael Frey. In preparation for the program, the fifty-six club members hace practiced after school hours since April and have also fashioned and made the costumes for each member. Of the fifty-six girls, ten were selected as chair- persons for the entire club. The chairpersons and the directress created the show Mount Joy Blues win The Mount Joy Blue baseball team took 1st place at the Manor Ridge Tournament. 16 teams participated. 3-day fournament The 3-day Girls’ Baseball Tournament, sponsored by the Mount Joy Athletic Association at Kunkle Field in the park, ended in victory for Quarryville. Marietta girls took the 2nd place. The Quarryville girls got a team trophy and smaller individual trophies. Pitcher Cheryl Haddon got a $25 savings bond for her two homers of the tournament. Selected chair- persons for 1978 are: Kim Derr, Brenda Geib, Lisa Hoffman, Patty Meszaros, Gay McKain, Karen Mum- maw, Mindy Newlin, Rhonda Shank, Pam Sheetz and Toni Shumaker. Just some of the acts to be featured are: the tradi- tional grand entrance and a mass disco routine, a crew of liberated carpenters, a reenactment of the story from the movie, Goodbye Girl, a group of stuffed animals that come to life, an unusual group of Boogie Shoes, a dance tribute to a special team of champions, and an old-fashioned hoe -down.
