The show is open to the public all day and evening on June 3rd. The show will be held at Long Park, 1441 Old Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. It’s near Fun Day at from Zion Nursery School Fun Day at Zion Luther- an Nursery School was packed full of fun and sur- prises for the children. Teachers and mothers alike, dressed in many various costumes, greeted the children this morning for their day of fun. The circus atmosphere proved to be very exciting. With the help of mothers and teachers the circus carnival was set up. The children enjoyed many events such as sack races, clown ball toss game, bottle cap capers, frisbee distance throw, bowling ball set ups and splatter painting. Throughout the day the children were greeted by such storybook characters as Raggedy Ann and Andy, Happy the Clown, Mrs. Scraweraw, Mr. Scarecrow, The Farmer, Bozo the Clown and Mickey Mouse. As with all good carni- vals the children were treated to lunch of hot dogs and all the trimmings. Each child upon leaving was presented with their own personalized helium balloon given to them by Happy the Clown. On Tuesday evening, May 23, the children will present a program for family and friends in the social hall of the church. Scouts can earn a special show medallion which was designed to commemorate the Show. Ralph Shope was ap- pointed housing officer. The tax relief for those earning less than $3200 a year can be applied for at the Borough Office. The application must be renew- ed each year. The same goes for the occupational tax relief, for those making less than $1000. Bid forms will be pre- pared for council by the solicitor to have designated jobs contracted on a needs basis for such things as snow removal and soil hauling. Hourly rates for these services will be on record. Requisitions for all pur- chases must be approved by committee as well as by the finance chairman, it was decided. Two houses—8 and 10 Donegal Place, Marietta, were purchased by the Lancaster County redevel- opment authority for reno- vation. They were bought for $17,500 each.
