Musical at Grandview
The Grandview Elemen-
tary School spring musical
program will be presented
on Tuesday, April 18th, at
7:15 PM in the W.1. Beahm
Junior High in Mount Joy.
Students from grades 2, 3,
and 4 will participate.
Amish bus
The Mount Joy Area
Historical Society is spon-
soring a bus trip through
Lancaster County on Satur-
day, April 29.
In addition to touring the
farmlands of the Amish,
the bus tour will include
stops at Wheatland, the
home of Presiden Buchan-
an, and a tour through
Rockford. Tour guides Vera

Bridgett of Mount Joy will
appear at Franklin and
Marshall on April 19th at 8
Cpr at Wolgemuth’s
The Wolgemuth Feed
Company of Mount Joy is
instituting CPR and 1st aid
courses for its foremen and
supervisors. The courses
will start next week.

Ted Hershey dances
Ted Hershey, a 1976
graduate of Donegal High
and a 1st year dance major
at Point Park College, Pitt-
sburgh, will be performing
on April 21st through 30th
with the American Dance
Ensemble of the college at
the Pittsburgh Playhouse
Theater.
Merit scholar ;
Pamela K. Wise, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
J. Wise, 919 W. Main St.,
Mount Joy, was among 8
students in Lancaster
County awarded 4-year
Merit Scholarships.

Mrs. Ruth Kern, a 3rd
grade teacher at Grandview
School, was honored on
April 17th for her 15%
years of service, with the
last three at Grandview.
Mrs. Kern will be retiring
at the end of this term.

This house, at 235 E. Orange,
Lancaster, is the 1978 Decorator Show
House of the United Auxiliaries of the
Lancaster General Hospital. It will be
open to the public April 24 through SEL
May 14. Tickets are $3.00 [cheaper in
advance and at the door]. Proceeds will
benefit the hospital.
