Bars rrissrrirrsostir rr Ln HOS SEY April 5, 1978 Rory Reno Reno graduates Rory Reno, 21, of Bain- bridge, was among the six members of the first culinary class to graduate from the Hotel Hershey & Country Club apprentice- ship program. Commencement cere- monies were held on March 20th in the Hershey Hotel. A luncheon was prepared for the occassion—cooked by the graduating guests of honor themselves as part of their final exam. The meal was judged by a panel of culinary experts. The stu- dents were also judged on the ice and tallow sculp- tures they had prepared for their final day. The actual graduation was held the next day, with a guest speaker from the Greenbrier in West Virgin- ia. Mr. Reno began his cooking career while work- ing in a local restaurant at the time he attended E-town High School. He took a position as cook at the Hershey Country Club, and was admitted to the ‘apprenticeship program the next year. He was assigned to two hotels while an apprentice: the Hotel Brunswick in Lancaster, and the Break- ers Hotel in Florida. He will continue working at Hotel Hershey as p.m. Sous Chef. He is engaged to Robin Weatherholtz. Victor Hugo’s daughter Penn State at Capitol Campus is having a film festival. Main Street, Mount Joy, died at St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of four months. She was a member of Glossbrenner United Meth- odist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years in the children’s ter and her mad love for a lieutenant in the British Army.
